I’m Alex, and I believe people are far more thoughtful and interesting than our typical social and professional environments allow us to be.
I work in Learning & Organizational Development, where I facilitate workshops focused on communication, collaboration, and leadership. I also host social experiences that explore topics like technology, community, and authenticity.
The common thread across all of this work is conversation as a tool for fostering human connection and generating ideas.
I’ve developed a flexible approach to fostering group dialogue that can be adapted to a wide range of topics and goals. At its core, the work is about creating the conditions for meaningful conversations to happen naturally.
My guiding principles:
1. Make Participation Easy
As an introvert myself, I understand the aversion to cheesy icebreakers and forced participation. By making participation low-stakes and self-directed, everyone is invited in on their own terms.
2. Make Topics Interesting
Almost any topic can be engaging. The key is connecting it to people’s experiences through questions that draw out personal stories, challenge assumptions, and spark new ideas.
3. Focus on the People
The cards and questions create engagement, but the real value comes from the people themselves—their stories, perspectives, and the connections they form along the way.
